Bonjour friends,

August has been a difficult, but exciting month. I made the decision to close my little boutique for good. It became too challenging to manage the boutique and my online business. I spent so much time running back and forth, that I began to feel like I had even less time than before. What I strive for at this point in my life is more time. I relish time with my family, time with my sweet husband, time to create, time for Paris, time for my ETSY shops and time for things yet to be discovered! So, although after 16 years of Confectionique, it is time to move forward with something else. I am so excited about the freedom and possibilities it will bring.

I would be remiss, though, if I didn’t say to each and every one of you , merci beaucoup! Some of you have followed Confectionique through every move from the Morey Middleton Airport, to Monona Drive, to to my little studio boutique. Some of you I have known for years and some of you I have just met. No matter how long, I know I wouldn’t have enjoyed Confectionique’s boutiques nearly as much as I have, without each and every one of you! Your joy, excitement and words of encouragement have meant so, so much. My heart is full as I sit and write these words. You are, each and every one of you, a blessing. I deeply appreciate and adore you.

So, with Adam’s support, I now have a darling space coming to life in the lower level of our home. I am already thinking of so many splendid ideas! I will continue to post regularly on Instagram and Facebook. I will update my ETSY offerings. I will update my blog and send emails, occasionally, with updates too. Remember, you can always let me know when you need a refill of your favorite French goods by shopping my ETSY boutiques or you can arrange to visit my little at-home atelier to pick out goods in person. Reach out! So, although it is au revoir to an official boutique it is always bonjour to other possibilities!
